Visionary Scholarship 2019

The Visionary Scholarship Committee is proud to announce the official Visionary Campaign start for the 16th Annual UNAVSA Leadership Conference. This scholarship offers a first-hand experience for attendees to dive into leadership, personal & professional development while connecting with hundreds of other community leaders across North America.

At UNAVSA, we understand that college students are burdened with financial pressures and want to lend a helping hand to those passionate and in need. In 2011, our sponsor Huy Duong reached out to UNAVSA to expand the scholarship program. Since then, our organization has been able to able to provide four college students the opportunity to travel to UNAVSA’s Annual Leadership Conference at minimal or no cost.

This year, the scholarship will be awarded to a total of four winners – two winners from the Eastern regions and two from the Western regions. This method ensures scholarship winners are not all concentrated from one area. Recipients will be selected by the Visionary Scholarship Committee in a two-part process.

Year after year, the size of the Visionary Scholarship circle continues to grow. UNAVSA hopes to provide resources and opportunities for scholarship recipients and members foster their leadership skills, as well as their communities. We want to instill value in the ideals of Vietnamese culture, community, and advocacy.

The deadline to submit an application is Sunday, May 12, 2019 at 11:59 pm PST. All participants will be notified the status of their application by Monday, June 3, 2019.
