uNAVSA Leadership Scholarship
The Union of North American Vietnamese Student Associations (uNAVSA) Leadership Scholarship will be awarding conference scholarships to two students demonstrating leadership in school, service or civic engagement within the Vietnamese American youth community. The scholarships cover airfare from anywhere in the 48 continental United States to Portland, ground transportation, lodging and registration fees to this year’s uNAVSA Conference to take place July 31st–August 3rd, 2008 in Portland, Oregon.

Scholarship recipients will be announced and contacted the week of May 26th, 2008. If the scholarship recipient has already registered and paid for the conference the registration fees will be refunded.
Students must meet the following qualifications for consideration:- Full-time enrollment at an accredited 4-year college or university (12 credits or more)
- Ability to attend the 2008 uNAVSA conference from July 31st–August 3rd, 2008 in Portland, Oregon
- Demonstrated leadership in school, service or civic engagement within the Vietnamese American youth community
- Financial need
- One-page written essay on the following topic: What does, “Leadership within the Vietnamese American youth community” mean to you and how have you demonstrated this through your own activities?
