- What is the uNAVSA Conference?
- The uNAVSA Conference is considered to be one of the premier youth conferences in the country. Hundreds of undergraduates, graduates, and young professionals from around the country will participate in a four-day event to hone their leadership skills, hold discussions with speakers, explore issues in the Vietnamese-American youth community, and enjoy the entertainment.
- Who can participate?
- Undergraduate and graduate students as well as young professionals are invited to participate in the conference. However, we would like to welcome anyone who has an interest in the Vietnamese American youth community. This also includes high school students. We highly encourage attendance from current and future officers of Vietnamese American student groups (VSAs, VSUs, UVSAs, etc.) as a way to help develop leadership talent within organizations and network with other leaders from around the country.
- Why should I attend?
- The uNAVSA Conference will be your chance to engage in dialogue with prominent speakers and explore the issues confronting the Vietnamese American population with hundreds of other college students and young professionals from across North America.
- Do I have to be Vietnamese to attend?
- Of course not. We welcome attendees of all ethnicities. We just ask everyone bring an open mind and an interest to learn about and contribute to the Vietnamese American youth community.
- How do I get to the uNAVSA Conference?

- When is the registration deadline?
- You can register anytime before the start of the conference, and on-site registration will also be made available if space is available. However, the conference fee will change depending on date of registration. Please register using our online form.
- Can I register on the spot?
- Possibly yes. Last year the conference was sold out. Therefore early registration is encouraged.
- Will meals be provided during the conference?
- Yes and no, the registration fee includes lunch for two days and the Gala dinner Saturday evening. Breakfast will be avaiable through the optional Hotel Add-On.
- What should I bring to the conference?
- You will need to bring sufficient change of clothes, toiletries, a notebook, pen, as well as leisure money for personal expenses. Remember, no sales tax in Portland!
- What is the dress code?
- Attendees are encouraged to dress in “business casual" due to the warm Portland weather in July. For the opening ceremony, men are encouraged to wear suits and women their ao dai or business attire. Formal or Semi-Formal attire is encouraged for the Gala dinner Saturday evening.
- Can I come late or leave early?
- Yes. For those arriving late, please include your anticipated time of arrival in the Comments section of the Registration Form. For those leaving early, include your time of departure in the same section.
- Will we have free time?
- Yes, there will be some free time during the day and at night after the final events have concluded. Please see the Schedule.
